It is time again to think about what to do this Summer and how to enjoy your life while traveling, smiling and having fun. For me, it all starts with a theatre performance.. it sort of kicks off the season very nicely and brings out the positive hope that is much needed throughout the years. We all know how I love the Chinese acrobatics, such as the one in Chaoyang Theatre. Already I received a few positive comments about it and was positively thrilled. Thanks guys!

But this time it's time to experience something a little different in the great capital of China. I wanted to see something I hadn't seen before, and luckily The Golden Mask Dynasty in Beijing came to the rescue! Hosted at the OCT Theatre near Happy Valley this show makes a great day trip in the outskirts of the city. Now with a new metro line it's also easy to access, and go to enjoy not just the show but also the amusement park which should be one of the biggest in Beijing. But while the amusements might be fun, I am mostly interested in the show itself. Known as the great story about the "Golden Mask", it's sure to be packed with ancient Chinese culture that always makes the best performance. I cannot say that I so much loved the Opera, but this one should be a nice blend of tradition as well as high tech and modern show acting. The theatre, OCT as it is called and I have no idea why, should be equiped with the state of the art, everything.

While a story can be really good, it's better enhanced with effects. The waterfall scene in particular seemed impressive, with loads of water splashing about and making the audience excited. But I didn't want to spoil the experience any further, and simple booked by advanced tickets.. with a discount btw! Other than that, I will be making my day with a good dinner. Looking forward, here I come Summer 2015!!!

Best regards,
Anna Holm

PS. Sorry it's been a while, been busy smiling.
